The Minister of Health of Peru, Elizabeth Hinostroza, reported Monday that four people are being treated in Lima on suspicion of being infected with the coronavirus.
According to local media, Hinostroza explained that these are three Chinese citizens and a Peruvian translator. Although patients do not have a clinical picture “”compatible”” with the symptoms of the virus, they all have a history of having spent several days in the Chinese city of Wuhan, the focus of infection, the official said.
The minister has assured that at this time all the epidemiological precautions are being taken and the “”molecular comparison”” is being carried out with the purpose of being able to “”confirm or rule out”” the cases in three days.
